The Hotel Diplomat is the best value for money hotel we stayed at in all of Italy. The location is perfect for a short break as it is both near the train station and walking distance from the city centre.

The place is immaculately clean and the staff are very professional. The breakfast left a little to be desired (no international options, just pastries/cereals etc.) but considering what we paid and that this place is a four-star we couldn’t complain. In any case a better breakfast can be found around town. We’d definitely stay here again and would recommend the place to friends.

This place is perfect for everything a guy needs traveling around Italy – a decent hotel, clean, pleasant people working there and most importantly, the location.

You can pig out on the buffet breakfast then head out and do whatever you came to Florence to do, or take a train from the station across the road and get anywhere you want to go. The rooms are easily big enough to be comfortable and they actually have real air conditioning that you can alter yourself. A good deal.

This hotel’s location is ideal, just across the road from Santa Maria station and within walking distance to all the places of interest in Florence’s historical centre.

The rooms were a bit ordinary considering it was newly renovated but there was nothing to complain about and the view was amazing. The breakfast was excellent too.
